| THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF AVICULTURE, INC. (AFA) proudly presented its 2006 National Show Award given annually at the National Cage Bird Show, to Mrs. Julia H. Allen, for the “Best Bird in Show Bred & Banded by an AFA Member.” AFA National Show Awards Chair Linda S. Rubin presented winner, National Cockatiel Society (NCS) President Julia Allen, the prestigious award during the Saturday evening banquet at the National Cage Bird Show in Chicago, IL. Julia’s magnificent normal grey male cockatiel won both the AFA National Show Award, as well as the Higgins Trophy for Best Cockatiel in the NCS division; the National Cockatiel Society is an affiliate organization of AFA. To qualify for the AFA National Show Award, exhibitors must be current paid members of AFA, and fill out an AFA registration form during the show; details may be found online at www.afabirds.org and in future issues of AFA In Brief and the AFA Watchbird. The American Federation of Aviculture, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3), nonprofit educational organization incorporated in the state of California (business office located in N.
